Cup Stacking
We're back from Spring Break and ready to rock!
This week we are learning how to cup stack :) Cup stacking is a great activity for people of all ages and abilities. Cup stacking helps work on bilateral coordination, right and left brain activation and hand-eye coordination.
Here are some pictures of students working on the 3 stack and the 3-3-3 stack.
Cup stacking is also a great activity to do at home!

*Jump Rope for Heart Celebration*
On Wednesday the 2nd grade classes traveled over to Oakcrest for their Jump Rope for Heart Celebration. They students jumped with the 3rd graders and turned short and long ropes! It was an awesome event to cap off our amazing students raising funds for The American Heart Association. We would like to thank everyone who donated and for our volunteers for making this day run so smoothly!

AWESOME JOB!
~JUMP ROPE FOR HEART CELEBRATION IS TODAY!!
We are amazed by the amount of donations the students received for the American Heart Association!
The students have been working very hard at their jump roping skills and can't wait to show them off at Oakcrest today :)
The 2nd grade students jumped past their goal of raising $3,700 and raised a total of-
$4,376.00

***Jump Rope for Heart***
On Friday all second grade classes received their Jump Rope for Heart packets during our kickoff! The students watched a short video of a young boy whos heart was sick when he was born. Ms. Earney and I also discussed why we do JR4Heart and how raising money is going to be used to help kids their age by supporting heart research. The students were very excited to get started and are excited to earn "lifesaver ducks!"
On March 19th we have a joint celebration with the 3rd graders at Oakcrest to show off our awesome jump roping skills and to celebrate the donations the students have received for The American Heart Association!
